New South Wales
New South Wales (NSW) is Australia’s most populated state look like Australian Capital City, the location of the country’s capital – Canberra.
Almost 7 million people live in this state on the aear of 809,444 square kilometres.
Sydney is the largest city in New South Wales, followed by Newcastle and Wollongong. The state is bordered by Queensland on the north, South Australia on the west, Victoria on the south and the Tasman Sea on the east.
The blooming industries in New South Wales are Financial services, IT and tourism, with many of Australia’s main companies having their headquarters in Sydney. Coal and related products are still the state’s biggest export. Also, about half of the country’s timber production is concentrated in this state.
The New South Wales business community is represented by the NSW Business Chamber, with 30,000 members.
Canberra - Australian Capital Territory
Canberra - The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is an inland enclave in the state of New South Wales, Canbera is smallest self-governing internal territory in Australia.
The total of 340,000 people live in Canberra, most of them in Canberra City. Apart from the capital, the territory also contains a large portion of agricultural land and a big area of national park. Small townships and communities located within the Australian Capital Territory also include Williamsdale, Naas, Uriarra and Hall.
The Canberra experiences four very distinct seasons every year, because of its 650m elevation. Canberra is particularly notorious for hot, dry summers and cold winters, unlike most Australian cities that have their climates moderated by the sea.
